Jack L. Moltenbrey, age 79 of Hampstead, NH, died Saturday at his home in Hampstead, surrounded by family.
He was born and raised in Russell, MA, and he graduated from Westfield State University with a bachelor’s degree. Jack was a resident of Hampstead for the past 3 years, after residing in Windham, NH, for over 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Jack had a long and successful career with the YMCA, serving in management positions at a number of YMCAs throughout New England until he retired in 1992. He most recently served as Executive Director of the Merrimack Valley YMCA, although in retirement he continued to do consulting work for YMCAs around the country. He was an avid birder and a member of the New Hampshire Audubon Society, for whom he volunteered doing Eagle watches. He loved computers and gadgets of all kinds, and quickly became adapted to Internet technology. He loved to use his computer to stay in touch with friends and family. Jack also enjoyed photography, traveling, and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 2nd at 10:30 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead, NH.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Aug. 1st from 3-7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Merrimack Valley YMCA Camping Services Scholarships , 101 Amesbury St. 4th Floor , Lawrence, MA 01840.
