Michael A. Gawrys age 41 of Malden, MA, formerly of Salem, NH, died April 22, 2004 in Melrose, Massachusetts.
He was born in Methuen, MA, grew up and was educated in Salem, NH, and graduated from Salem High School in 1980, where he was very active with the band playing the clarinet, saxophone, and piano. In 1977 he and the high school band played in the Macy’s Parade on Thanksgiving.. He later attended the Berkley School of Music in Boston, MA, working for a degree in music. He enjoyed reading and playing music for his family and friends. He was also a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Salem, NH.
Mr. Gawrys was a waiter and bartender for sometime in the Boston, and Provincetown, MA areas.
He is survived by his Mother: Muriel P. (Hatfield) Gawrys of Salem, NH and her life long companion Steven Sevoian of Methuen, MA.
His Father: Edward A. Sr. & his Wife Sylvia Gawrys of Beverly Hills, FL

A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, May 7, 2004 at 5:30 PM at St. Joseph Church, Salem, NH Cremation followed. Burial will take place at a later date for the convenience of the family.
