Arlene Francis Culver Batie, 87, of Clarksville, TN, died on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at St. Thomas Alive Hospice. She was born on February 2, 1925 in Dickens, Iowa to the late Glenn Alvin Culver and Myrtle Hansen Culver. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe (Sonny) Batie.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. David Fambrough officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Arlene was a retired co-owner of Batie's Auto Body Repair. She was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Lynne) Batie of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Sue (Howard) Steiner and Cyndee (Brent) Pasley of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and many friends and caregivers who loved her at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab Center.
Pallbearers will be Chris Steiner, Earl Evans, Preston Jackson, Mike Fields, Robert Alley, Johnny Watts, John Woodward, Mike Parchman, and Russ Parchman.
