Teresa Barsanti, age 97, a Medford resident for over sixty years, passed away Tuesday, May 11th, at the Highgate Manor Nursing Home in Dedham following a brief illness. Born in Italy she was the daughter of the late Maria (Frati) and Adolfo Catalani. She was the beloved wife of the late Adolfo G. Barsanti. Teresa worked for almost twenty years as a stitcher with the Meltzer Sportswear Co. of Medford. She retired in 1975. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Teresa´s memory to the Mass. Comission for the Blind, 88 Kingston St. Boston, MA 02111
In addition to her beloved parents and husband, Teresa is preceded in death by her son Carl Barsanti and her brother Alexander Catalani. She is survived by her sons Hugo Barsanti of West Roxbury and Adolph Barsanti of Virginia. She is also survived by six loving grandchildren and five loving great grandchildren and a sister, Rina Cecchini of Lexington.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Friday at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church 118 High St. Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 5 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
