Constance Davy, age 98, of Country Club Heights, Woburn, Massachusetts died July 24th at her home after a brief illness. She was born in Winchester, Massachusetts November 12th, 1913, the daughter of Harry George Draper Davy and Josephine Hutchins Davy.
Constance was educated at the Brimmer School in Boston, the Stoneleigh Prospect School in Greenfield, Massachusetts, and the Garland School in Boston.
She served as a secretary with Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary from 1950 to 1974. Constance was a long time member of the Parish of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Winchester. She enjoyed participating as a volunteer on a variety of activities such as Meals on Wheels, working on the front desk as a receptionist at the Winchester Hospital, running church fairs, and serving at the Winchester Senior Center. Constance also loved to travel and had many interesting trips nationally and abroad.
She is predeceased by her sister, Eleanor Davy Allen and her brother, Harry George Davy. Surviving her are two nieces, Constance Allen Eastburn of Doylestown, Pennsylvania and Jane Allen Smith and her husband, David C. Smith of Kennebunk, Maine and one nephew, Peter Allen and his wife, Stephanie Allen of South Paris, Maine. Also surviving are many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service honoring her life August 15th at Country Club Heights, 3 Rehabilitation Way, Woburn at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Parish of the Epiphany Episcopal Church, 70 Church Street, Winchester MA 01890.
