Steven P. Salgado, Sr. of Wareham formerly of Plymouth, died on July 24th at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston at the age of 58. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Sandra (Ehney) Salgado of Wareham and his children April-Marie Daniels and her husband Stephen Daniels of McGuire AFB, NJ; Steven Salgado Jr. of Plymouth and Amber Salgado of Plymouth. He also leaves his brother David Salgado and his sisters Janice Reilly and Diane Furtado all of Plymouth and his cherished granddaughters Isabella Daniels and Avah Salgado. Brother of the late James Salgado. Son of the late Lee and Manuel Salgado of Plymouth.
Steven was born and lived most of his life in Plymouth and was a Produce Manager at Shaw's Supermarket. He enjoyed traveling, sports and cars: going to car shows and rebuilding older cars. He was a mechanic for many years and also coached little league baseball, basketball and pop warner football, though his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 27th from 5 to 8 PM at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28th at St. Mary’s Church in Plymouth at 10 AM followed by burial at Vine Hills Cemetery Plymouth.
