Paul E. Schneider, 51,of Plymouth died suddenly July 22. Survived by Susan Schneider of Lowell, his children Christina of North Andover, and Michael of Lowell, and his granddaughter Katie Lyn Schneider of Pembroke.
Mr. Schneider was born in Weymouth and raised in Norwell. He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene J. Schneider and Anne V. Schneider. A 1979 graduate of Norwell High School, Mr. Schneider was a retired Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where he was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service in recognition of his work in the Special Security Support Section during Operation Desert Storm.
Loving brother of Robert of Selah, WA, John of Hardy, AK, Anne Sims of Millsboro, DE, Ellen Sims of E. Bridgewater, James of Arlington, WA, Michael of Pembroke, Mark of Hanson, Kathleen Hartley of Carver, and William of White Haven, PA. Will be sadly missed by his devoted companion Diane Guillette of Plymouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who marveled at their uncle’s ability to remember their birthdates. Affectionately known as Schmidt, Mr. Schneider was a lifelong fan of all the Boston sports teams, holding out hope that every year would be “the year.”
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 26th at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Plymouth. A visiting hour will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the Mass. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
