Ronald E. Croteau, 71, of Westcott St., Berlin, NH passed away on Tuesday July 24, 2012 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, while surrounded by family. He was born in Berlin on November 15, 1940 the son of Validore and Flossie (Fournier) Croteau and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Berlin High and was employed as the business agent for Granite State Rubber Company and later, the owner/operator of North Country Carpet Cleaning, a business that he proudly passed on to his 2 sons. Ronald was a member of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. He liked watching football, playing & watching hockey and traveling, especially to Maine on the weekends.
Members of the family include his wife Betty (Pelotte) Croteau of Berlin, NH with whom he would have celebrated a 50 year Anniversary on Sunday July 28; sons Jeff Croteau and wife Cheri of Berlin NH and Scott Croteau of Berlin, NH: daughter Lynn Johnson and husband Jack of Milan, NH: 7 grandchildren Kellie Croteau, Scott Croteau, Wade Croteau, Ty Croteau, Autumn Johnson, Jared Johnson and Lacey Johnson; brother George “Skip” Croteau and wife Jean of Sarasota, FL; sisters Shirley Labrecque of Berlin, NH and JoAnne Downs and husband Richard of Gorham, NH; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday July 30, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. There are no calling hours. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
