Mr. Ralph DiDonato 96, of Medford formerly of East Boston died on Monday in the Anne Mark Nursing Center and Rehab in Revere. He was the husband of the late Teresa (Delpo) DiDonato.
Born in Boston, son of the late Joseph and Carmela (Caliendo) DiDonato, he was raised and educated in East Boston. He is a graduate of East Boston High School, class of 1934.
Mr. DiDonato was a self employed painter for more than 50 years. In earlier years he enjoyed playing billiards and pool and was considered a talented player. Mr. DiDonato was a Medford resident for more than 60 years. Nothing gave him more enjoyment than spending quality time with his son’s and grandchildren.
He leaves 2 sons, Joseph DiDonato and his wife Ree Cashman of Swampscott and Ralph DiDonato of NV. He is the loving grandfather of Christine, Lisa and Alexander DiDonato. Dear brother of Camille D’Amico and Lucy DiDonato both of East Boston and the late Louis, Phil, Albert and Vincent DiDonato and Margaret Ferullo. Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Mausoleum, Everett.
