PEABODY, MA – Mabel H. “Mae” (Ryan) Deveau, 79, a former resident of Andover, died July 21. She was the beloved wife for 55 years of Roy A. Deveau, loving mother of Jeffrey R. and His wife Kerry (Quinlan) Deveau of Andover, and devoted grandmother of Thomas J. Deveau of Andover.
Mae resided with her husband at Brooksby Village in Peabody.
Prior to Brooksby Village, Mae and her husband lived for many happy years in Andover. Mae was a member of Saint Roberts Bellarmine Church in Andover and active in several organizations including the Shawsheen Village Women’s Club, the Merrimack Valley Chapter of the Sweet Adelines, and was Past President of the Four Seasons Garden Club of Andover.
At her request, funeral services were private. Contributions in Mae’s memory may be made to the charity of donor’s choice. A Funeral Mass was celebrated on August 4, 2012 at the Chapel in the Brooksby Village McIntosh Clubhouse located at 100 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody, Massachusetts 01960.
