Obituary

WAYLAND: Lawrence E. Sandock, 86, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 following a period of declining health.
He was born in Cambridge on June 3, 1926 the son of the late Joseph C. and Hazel M. (Marshall) Sandock.
Beloved husband of the late Beatrice M. (Matheson) Sandock who died in June 2003. He is survived by his devoted sons: Philip M. Sandock and his wife Claudineia of Wayland and Paul J. Sandock and his wife Michele of Whitesboro, NY. Cherished grandfather of Victoria, Michaela and Andrew Sandock and step-grandfather of Brittany and Abby Smith. Brother-in-law of John Nutty and Sunny Sandock. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Marshall Sandock, Ruth Nutty, Barbara Flaherty and David Sandock.
Lawrence has been a resident of Wayland for over 53 years and spent his formative years in Cambridge. He was a graduate of Cambridge English High School and attended Northeastern University. He served his country proudly during World War II with the United States Navy. He had a long and distinguished career as an engineer in the pulp and paper division of Charles T. Main of Boston retiring in 1986 after over 20 years. He enjoyed tending his vegetable garden, traveling with his wife and playing golf. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather to his family.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd. (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11:00 am at North Cemetery, Old Sudbury Rd (Rte 27), Wayland.
