METHUEN – Corinne (Pelletier) Clarke, 88 of Methuen, MA, passed way Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover, MA.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of Frank and Clemence (Morin) Pelletier. Educated in Methuen, where she was a life long resident and was a graduate of the Edward F. Searles High School. For 40 years Corinne was a social worker for the City of Methuen and also the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. For many years she was the secretary for the Selectmen of the Town of Methuen.
She attended St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen, was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post # 122 in Methuen, enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid reader. Corinne will be missed by all who knew her for her kind and generous spirit.
The widow of Robert A. Clarke, she is survived by her son and his wife, Carl A. and Sheila Clarke of Salem, NH.
Grandchildren, Thomas Dowd, Christopher and Jeffrey Clarke.
Great grandchildren, Ashton, Landen, Andrew, Gabriella and Willow.
Corrine also leaves a godchild, Donna Hughes.
She was the mother of the late Joanne Clarke and Maureen Quinney.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Women’s Auxillary of the American Legion Post # 122 Broadway Methuen, MA 01844. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday from 9:00a.m. – 10:15a.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. A Funeral Mass will follow visiting hours at 11:00a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen.
