TAUNTON – Paul J. Silva, son of Maria E. (Paiva) Silva of Taunton and the late Jose P. Silva, died at his Taunton home on July 17, 2012.
He was 45.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was raised in Taunton, and was a 1985 graduate of Taunton High School.
He graduated from Bristol Community College in 1989, where he received a degree in accounting.
Paul was employed by Johnson & Johnson as a distribution coordinator for the past ten years.
A computer and high tech enthusiast, he enjoyed science fiction, especially Star Trek, NASCAR, and was an avid New England Patriots fan.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
Besides his mother, he leaves a brother, Francisco J. Silva of Taunton; a sister, Maria M. Medeiros and her husband Robert J. of Norton; his life partner, Donna M. Hubert of Taunton; two nieces, Jennifer M. Beebe of Virginia Beach, VA, and Ashlee Medeiros of Norton; a nephew, Mathew Medeiros of Norton; his beloved dog, DJ Silva, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, July 23rd at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, July 22nd from 5 to 8 p.m.
