Obituary

George L. Pietrantoni, 70 of Wakefield, died Tuesday after a long illness in the Sawtelle Hospice House, Reading, MA.

Born in Boston, he lived in Wakefield for the past 9 years and formerly of Medford. He was the son of the late Jennie (Ranno) and Giovanni Pietrantoni. George was a Teacher at Winthrop High School for 34 years and retired in 2001. He also was a Middlesex County Deputy Sheriff for 15 years and a Medford Constable since 1992.

Beloved husband of Carole (Cuozzo) Pietrantoni. Devoted father of Anthony Pietrantoni of Arlington, Susan Bernardinelli and her husband Michael of Wakefield. Loving grandfather of Michael Jr., Alexandra, Jesse and Ryan. Brother of Yole Lakos of New Hampshire, Aldo Pietrantoni of Arlington, Edda Carbone of Lynnfield, John Pietrantoni of Lowell, Norma and Cynthia Pietrantoni both of Burlington, Yvonne Patterson of Woburn, and the late Rudolph Pietrantoni.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
