WESTFORD-Doris Louise (Gifford) Garrity , 93, died at Saints Memorial Medical Center Fridayafternoon, May 7. She was the wife of the late John T. Garrity
She was born in Lowell, March 6, 1911, a daughter of the late George Gifford and AliceR. (Stanley) Gifford-Hart. She made her home in Dracut before she established her residence inWestford one year ago.
For over 30 years she owned Gifford Nursing Home on Wilder St. in Lowell with hersister the Late Edna “Teddy” Gifford.
She is survived by five granddaughters: Robin (Niemi) and her husband Mike Ramos ofFlorida; Joni (Niemi) and her husband Kevin Nugent of Dracut; Sonnia (Niemi) and her husbandKeith Bearce Jr. of Westford; Rhonda (Niemi) and her husband Jim Clark of Taunton, MA; Lori(Niemi) Long of Dracut. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and several nieces andnephews.
She was also mother of the late Joan Louise (Niemi) Garland, and sister of the lateHarold “Bud” Hart , John Hart and Edna “Teddy” Gifford.
Graveside service were held at GibsonCemetery in Pelham NH on May 11.
