SEALOVER - Edward L. Sealover, 64, passed away Sunday evening, July 15, 2012 at his Fernandina Beach, FL residence with his wife at his side after a lengthy illness. He was born March 11, 1948 in Shamokin, PA and moved to Fernandina Beach in 2007. Previous residences include Clarkesville, GA, Big Stone Gap, VA, Sanibel, FL and Annapolis, MD.
Ed graduated from Loyola Blakefield High School, Baltimore, MD. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in American government and politics from the University of Maryland in 1970 and a Master's Degree in American government, public administration and public law from the University of Texas-Austin in 1971. He worked in County and City Management positions since 1976 from Pennsylvania to Florida and was ICMA credentialed. He loved the beach, skiing and playing golf. Ed was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Beloved by his wife, Bleecker; his son, Edward Sealover and wife Denise of Denver, CO; his daughter, Bleecker Hawkins of Washington, DC; mother Lorraine Sealover of Dundalk, MD; brother Michael Sealover, also of Dundalk; and sister, Kim Sealover of Baltimore, MD.
He was predeceased by his father, Edward Sealover in 2002.
Services will be held in Baltimore, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations be made to either Community Hospice of N.E. Florida or St. Michael Catholic Church.
