BEAZLEY - William R. "Bo" Beazley, Jr., 90, of Fernandina Beach passed away Sunday morning, July 15, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center in Fernandina Beach. He was born December 15, 1921 in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Fernandina Beach in 1972 from the Hollyford area of Jacksonville.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Navy. Mr. Beazley retired from the NARF at NAS Jacksonville 33 years ago and spent much of his retirement years fishing. He absolutely loved fishing and anything to do with nature. He was a devoted husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Richard Beazley, Sr. and Ada Hixon Beazley; two sons, Ronald William Beazley and David Richard Beazley; and five siblings, Harold, James, Mary, Fred and Ella Mae.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Elizabeth Cole Beazley; a son, Daniel Cole Beasley; three daughters, Diane Elizabeth Beazley Childs, Judy Beazley Fruland and Kathryn Beazley Herman; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and his faithful dog, Duff-Duff.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, at Bosque Bello Cemetery with Military Honors.
