Irene L. Boutin, 96, of Goffstown, NH died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Goffstown. Mrs. Boutin was born on June 14, 1916 in Methuen, MA, the daughter of the late Edgar and Angelina (Roy) Bergeron. Raised in Methuen, she spent many years in Lawrence, MA before living in Manchester and Londonderry, NH. Irene was a communicant of St. Jude Parish, Londonderry. She enjoyed traveling, camping and time spent with her family.
She is survived by her three sons, Arthur Boutin and his wife Sandra of Cape Coral, FL, Paul Boutin and his wife Carol of Methuen, MA, Wilfred Boutin and his wife Kathleen of Bellows Falls, VT; two daughters, Claire Rockerfeller of Dresden, ME, Lillian Adams and her husband Joseph of Salem, NH. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Donna Boutin, Patricia Wilkinson, Nancy Foster, Richard D. Currier, Dale Rockerfeller, Diane Mauni, Valerie Seavey, Tracey McInerney, Andrew Boutin and Christine Boutin; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Boutin in 1988, by her son-in-law James Rockerfeller and her five siblings.
Calling hours were held Tuesday July 17, 2012 from 9 to 11:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A funeral liturgy was held at 11:00am at the close of calling hours. Burial followed in the Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd., Merrimack, NH 03054.
