Umbro --- Frank J. of Roslindale, after a long illness, July 13, 2012.
Frank was born April 9, 1938 in Boston to Joseph and Elizabeth (Teti) Umbro. After growing up in East Boston and graduating from high school, he proudly served his country as a U. S. He was an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Church. He served as a Lector and President of the Sacred Heart Home and School Association and member of the Knights of Columbus.
Frank was devoted to his family. He was married for 53 loving years to Josephine (Raneri) Umbro. He was the most caring father of Lisa and her husband Matt Dinola of Waltham and Michael Umbro and his wife Kim of Colts Neck, NJ. Cherished Nonno of Analise, Steven, Alexander, Michael, Dominic and Nicholas.
Frank had many interests. He was a religious man, strong in his faith and that strength carried him throughout his life.
In his “workshop” he created many treasures for his grandchildren. He loved to spend time in his garden. He loved science and reading.
But his greatest passion was cooking. He was proud of his heritage and created Italian feasts for everyone that was invited to the table.
