TAUNTON - Lillian Marie (Lortie) Silviera, wife of the late Leon T. Silviera, died at the Dighton Nursing Center on Thursday, July 12, 2012.
She was 97.
Born in New Bedford, she moved to Taunton with her family as a child.
She was graduate of Taunton High School and the former Morton Hospital School of Nursing.
Employed by Morton Hospital & Medical Center as an LPN for over twenty years, she retired thirty-two years ago.
Mrs. Silviera was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and member of the Retired Nurses Association and Westside Seniors.
Survivors include three sons, Richard L. Silviera and his wife Rita of Raynham, Arthur Silviera and his wife Barbara of Taunton, and Leon Silviera and his wife Kathryn of FL; two daughters, Lillian Hamilton and her husband Bernard of Taunton and Linda Menard and her husband Philip of Onset; a brother, Roland Lortie and his wife Margaret of Carver; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Leo and Arthur Lortie, Beatrice Soares, Blanche Picard and Yvonne Rose.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, July 17th at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at Pinehill Cemetery in East Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 16th from 4 to 7 p.m.
