Obituary

lph E. “Bo” Chambers Jr., 74, of Dennisport and formerly of Franklin died July 12 in Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston of complications from leukemia, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Geraldine (Bouchard) Chambers.
Born in Boston, May 10, 1938, the son of the late Ralph E. and Dorothy (Guptill) Chambers, Mr. Chambers was raised in Needham and had lived in Franklin for 26 years before moving to Michigan where he lived until moving to Cape Cod 18 years ago.
Mr. Chambers was a graduate of St. Sebastian’s School and Boston University.
Mr. Chambers worked for the General Motors Corporation for 35 years as a senior accountant.
He later worked for Gary Beard Chevy in Hyannis for 13 years.
Mr. Chambers had coached Franklin High School ice hockey, tennis and gymnastics.
He also had been a hockey referee throughout the Greater Boston area.
He had been active also in the Franklin youth ice hockey program.
“Bo” enjoyed boating.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Karen “Casey” Chambers Ashworth and her husband Peter of Atkinson, New Hampshire, Kristin Chambers Longley of Franklin, Kathleen Chambers Pettit and her husband Dennis of Hooksett, New Hampshire, Karla Chambers Corsini and her husband Jeffrey of Bellingham, Michael Lydon of Hopedale and Heather Lydon and her husband Tony Ostasiewicz of Chesterfield, Michigan. He was the father of the late Keith Chambers.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Eric Ashworth, Ryan Longley, Kyle and Jacob Pettit, Jeffrey Corsini, Amanda, Zoey and Lily Lydon and Vincent Chambers.
His services and calling hours will be held on Sunday July 15 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin 131 Main St. in Franklin from 1-5 p.m. Private interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin at a later date.
