Donovan, Gerald L. of Quincy, passed away July 9, 2012.
Beloved husband of Virginia M. (Donnelly) Donovan. Loving father of Gerry Donovan and his wife, Carol, of Holbrook, Maureen Ennis and her husband, Bob, of Pembroke, Virginia O’Riordan and her husband, Pat, of Braintree, Carol Clancy and her husband, Dan, of Canton, and Charlie Donovan of Braintree. Brother of Joseph Donovan and his wife, Agnes, of Dedham, and Paul Donovan and his wife, Mary Lou of Weymouth. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War and then worked for the US Post Office as a Mail Handler until his retirement.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy, MA.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
