TEWKSBURY - Genevieve E. (Milewski) Carrigg-McMeniman, 89, died unexpectedly, Fridaymorning, May 7, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. She was the wife of the lateRaymond J. Carrigg who died in 1941, and Francis L. McMeniman who died in 1978.
She was born in Lowell, Dec. 18, 1914, a daughter of the late William and Sophia (Taraska)Milewski. She was raised in Lowell attended St. Stanislaus School, and graduated from Lowell High SChool. She had lived inTewksbury the greater part of her life.
She was retired from the Steward’s Office at Tewksbury Hospital, where she had worked as abookkeeper.
She was a communicant of the Holy Trinity Polish Church in Lowell and St. William’s Church inTewksbury.
She was a frequent visitor to the Tewksbury Senior Drop-In Center, and was also an avid Bingoplayer.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Raymond J. and his wife Barbara Carrigg ofBurlington, William J. Carrigg of Tewksbury; one daughter, Patricia M. Carrigg of Tewksbury,four grandchildren, Elizabeth Haigh of Burlington, Robert Carrigg of Chelsea, Stephanie Carriggof Salem, Raymond Carrigg of Fla.; three great grandchildren, Jennifer, Hillary, and Raymond;and several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a private interment was held in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lowell.
