NEW BEDFORD -- Edith (Mack) Barrows of New Bedford died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of Napolean B. Barrows
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late George D. and Lillian (Blake) Mack, she lived in this community all her life.
Mrs. Barrows was a talented seamstress and was employed by Cherry & Webb Clothing Store downtown in the 1930s and '40s and then became associated with the Sportswear Co. as a stitcher in the 1950s-70s.
She was a member with her late husband of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1531, New Bedford, and the Advent Christian Church, Fairhaven.
She was the oldest cousin of the Blake family and is survived by many cousins.
Private funeral arrangements are by the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St. New Bedford, Ma.
