New Bedford - Domingos Samagaio Sr., 92, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at New Bedford Health Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Correia) Samagaio. Domingos was the loving Father of Domingos Samagaio Jr. husband of Helen of Freetown and Paul Samagaio husband of Rita of New Bedford. Mr. Samagaio is also survived by several brothers, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Samagaio was a son of the late Maria (Pimental) and Domingos F Samagaio. He was born in Gloucester, MA and has lived in this area most his life. Domingos was a former Commercial Fisherman
Mr. Samagaio’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Church on Monday at 9 A.M., funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Monday at 8 A.M. Burial will be at Rural Cemetery. Relatives and Friends are invited. Visiting hours are Sunday, from 5-8 P.M.
