Paul R. Perrotta, a 25 year resident of Melrose passed into eternal life on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at The Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was 47 years old.
Paul was born in Melrose on February 18, 1965, a son to Augusto Perrotta and Paulette (Bevalaqua) Perrotta. He grew up in Saugus for a short time before moving to Clearwater, Florida where he attended middle school and graduated high school there. Paul graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Paul is a Certified Public Accountant and has been a partner with the accounting firm of Alkon & Levine, P.C. of Newton for the last 16 years. He is a member of Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Paul enjoyed playing basketball in the Melrose men's over 30 league. He coached Melrose youth basketball and baseball teams and was involved in the C.C.D. Program at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield. Paul was an avid Boston Celtics fan and season ticket holder and enjoyed playing golf.
Paul is the beloved and loving husband of 25 years to Patricia B. (Bucciero) Perrotta. He is the devoted father of Nicholas P. Perrotta of Melrose. He is the beloved son of Augusto and Paulette (Bevalaqua) Perrotta of Clearwater, Florida. He is the beloved brother of Susan Helmke and her husband Michael of San Antonio, Texas. He is the beloved son-in-law of Phyllis Bucciero and her late husband Michael of Melrose. He is the beloved brother-in-law of Michael Bucciero of Washington, D.C. He is the special uncle of Matthew & his wife Stephanie, Caroline, Tess, Isabella, Will, Mike and Emma.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Paul's Funeral Mass on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10 a.m. in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visiting hours for Paul will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose.
