Marion L. (Shaw) Lagasse, 89, of Dartmouth died Friday, July 6, 2012 at Southpointe Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center. She was wife of the late Ernest Lagasse.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Charles and Eliza (Robinson) Shaw, she had lived in Westport for most of her life. Prior to retirement, she was a nurse’s aide at Kimwell Nursing Home and also worked as a private home health aide. She was a former communicant of St. George Church, Westport and also volunteered at the Westport Council on Aging. An avid reader, she enjoyed bingo, playing cards, being with her cats and also loved good food.
Survivors include a daughter: Dawn E. Cormier and her husband Douglas; 2 grandchildren: Erin Ramos and Jeremy Cormier; 4 great grandchildren: Emma Cormier, Olivia Cormier, Elizabeth Ramos and Joshua Ramos; 2 nephews: Jeremiah Grondin and Gary Grondin; Mary Jane Grondin and other nieces.
She was sister of the late: Ethel Grondin, Arthur Shaw, William Shaw and Frank Shaw.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 5 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
