Moira A. (Healy) Bavelock, age 75, died suddenly on July 4th. She was the late Robert L. Bavelock’s beloved wife of 52 years and is survived by her children Greta MacRae and her husband Craig, Mark Bavelock and his wife Kate, Chris Bavelock and his wife Lisa, Gregory Bavelock and his wife Heather and Molly O’Connor and her husband Christopher. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and her sister Margie Miller-Norton and her husband Roby.
Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Moira was the daughter of the late Henry and Agnes Healy. She attended Mount Saint Vincent College in New York. After raising her children, Moira was a Real Estate professional in Plymouth for over 20 years. She was an artist of both oils and water colors. She was lovingly known as the grandma who painted nudes. Moira led an active lifestyle and enjoyed swimming, biking and walking on the beach. She loved to travel, was a member of the League of Women Voters and passionately followed national politics.
Moira was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from being with her children and grandchildren. She had a special relationship with each grandchild spending individual time with each of them. She will be deeply missed by her family and has left her legacy in their hearts. Moira brought humor to social engagements and was often the life of the party.
Moira recently enjoyed a 75th birthday trip with her family to Ireland. She was proud of her Irish heritage and held dual citizenship.
Her memorial visitation will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth, MA on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Her memorial service will take place at St. Mary’s Church, 313 Court St, Plymouth MA on Tuesday, July10th, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
