Worcester—David A. Bilzerian, 88, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at UMass Memorial Medical Center—Memorial Campus. His wife, Marion D. (Abraham) Bilzerian, died in 1993.
He was the devoted father of 4 children, Kenneth D. Bilzerian of Tisbury, Alan G. Bilzerian of Newton, Laurence E. Bilzerian of Oak Bluffs, and Dolly Bilzerian-Kelly of Newton; 2 brothers, Alexander Bilzerian and Arthur Bilzerian, both of Worcester; loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren: Dillon K. Bilzerian, Elliott G. Bilzerian, Jake H. Bilzerian, Alexander T. Bilzerian, Benjamin L. Bilzerian, and Allison W. Bilzerian, all of Martha’s Vineyard; Lana K. Bilzerian and Harley K Bilzerian, both of New York City; and Victoria C. Kelly and Olivia A. Kelly, both of Newton; as well as many nieces and nephews. A brother, Oscar A. Bilezerian, and a sister, Margaret Abajian, predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester, son of Alexander and Lucy (Danielian) Bilzerian. He graduated from Commerce High School. Mr. Bilzerian was a realtor and owned David A. Bilzerian Realty Trust for 35 years. He was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, AVAKS, Worcester Area Realtor’s, Multiple Listing Services, and the Knights of Pythian, and volunteered for Easter Seals. Mr. Bilzerian was a member of the Auxiliary Police Dept. many years ago. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and outdoorsman.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 8, at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, May 7, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, with a Dahngark Service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
