Lawrence (Buzz) Polk Marshall, 86, of Clarksville, TN, died on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Dogwood Bend Assisted Living surrounded by his family and faithful caregivers. He was born on February 4, 1926 in Montgomery County, Tennessee to the late Jim Polk Marshall and Mary Beaumont Marshall. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margie Winters Marshall and sisters, Evelyn Wilbanks and Emily Dee Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Trinity Episcopal Church at 12 p.m. with Father Mickey Richaud officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 10 a.m until 11:30 a.m. in the Dorothy Conroy Parish Hall at the church.
Buzz was an U.S. Air Force Veteran. He worked at Ringgold Milling Co., Acme Boot Co., Cheatham Construction Co., Marshall Distributing Co., and was a professional bird dog trainer. He was also a member of Grace Chapel Episcopal Church.
He is survived by three daughters, Fessey Marshall Hackney (Jerry) of Clarksville, TN, Susan Marshall Barber (Thomas) of Okeechobee, FL, and Bobbie Leigh McElvoy Manning (Artie) of Clarksville, TN; two brothers, Jack Fry Marshall (Charlotte) and Jim B. Marshall; six grandchildren, Johnny Masters (Kim), Elizabeth Masters Webster, Lauren Taylor Williams (Steven), Drayton Hughes, Mary Kathleen Barber, and Joe Barber; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
