June Elaine Averitt Mitchell, 63, of Clarksville, TN, died on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in Elkton, KY. She was born on July 18, 1948 in Christian County, Kentucky to Thomas Milton Averitt and Mary Higdon Averitt.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Pastor Josh Tharpe officiating. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. and Friday, July 6, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
June was a retired secretary for Rufus Johnson Associates. She was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church and the United Way.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Higdon Averitt; two daughters, Stacey (Bruce) Watts and Jinny (William) Bailey of Clarksville, TN; brother, Walter Averitt of Elkton, KY; and three grandchildren, Devin Watts, Kyle Watts, and Jake Bailey.
Pallbearers will be Joe Powell, Glenn Higdon, Bruce Watts, William Bailey, Devin Watts, and Kyle Watts.
