WORCESTER-Panagiota (Tsarbos) Gianakis, of 32 Hartshorn Avenue, died Wednesday, May 5th in Holy Trinity Nursing Home. Her husband of 30 years Dionisios Gianakis died in 1969. She leaves a son Efthimios Giankis with whom she lived, a daughter Despina Koveos of Worcester, 2 grandchildren Lea and George Koveos both of Worcester and nephews and nieces in Greece.
She was born in Dimitsana, Greece the daughter of Athanasios and Vasilki Tsarbos and moved to Worcester in 1970. Mrs. Gianakis was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
The funeral is Saturday, May 8th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, May 7th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
