GILFORD
Irene R. Robichaud, 89, of 17 Ridgewood Ave died Tuesday evening, May 4, 2004 in Lakes Region General Hospital. She was born in Quebec on September 18, 1914, the daughter of Aime and Delia (Shepard) Coulombe. At an early age she moved to Franklin and also lived in Laconia, where she was educated in the parochial school system and graduated from Sacred Heart School.
She lived most of her adult life in Franklin and was employed as an office clerk at Acme Staple Company. In addition, she also was employed in the offices of Scott & Williams Co. and the J.J. Newberry store in Laconia.
Irene has resided in Gilford for the past ten years and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Laconia.
Family members include her husband, Michael P. Robichaud of Gilford; a daughter, Sandra E. Keller and her husband, Victor M. Keller of Ripley OH; three step-children, Alan Robichaud of Belmont, Roland Robichaud of Sanbornton and Brenda Carter of Laconia; three grandchildren and their spouses: Christine Royer and her husband Jonathan Royer of Colorado Springs CO, Michael P. Keller and his wife Roslina Keller of Ripley OH and Shane E. Keller and his wife Tammie Keller of Hamersville OH; five great grandchildren, Danielle Royer, Joshua Royer, Jona Royer, Corey Keller and Farah Wolfe; seven step-grandchildren, Abbe Robichaud, Evan Robichaud, Kevin Carter, Crystal Carter, Sara Carter, Melissa Robichaud and Jason Robichaud; seven step great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Bourgault of Auburn MA; a brother, Raymond Coulombe of Rochester NY; an aunt and several nieces.
Calling hours were in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. Sunday from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 30 Church St. Monday at 10 AM. Rev. Gary J. Kosmowski, pastor was the celebrant. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
