TAUNTON – Kim Lee (Bowen) Soares, wife of Richard D. Soares, died at her Taunton home on July 1, 2012.
She was 50 years old.
Born in Taunton, the daughter of Robert J. and Lydia (Cabral) Bowen, III, Kim was raised in Raynham and was a 1980 graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham High School.
She later received an associate’s degree in business from Newbury College.
For many years, Kim worked as a self-employed home health aide, and took great pride in helping family and friends, as well as those she served professionally.
In her spare time, Kim enjoyed fishing, gambling and shopping.
In addition to her husband and parents, all of Taunton, she leaves a son, Brian R. Soares of Taunton; a brother, Robert M. Bowen of Taunton; three sisters, Cynthia Ellis and Tammy Carey both of Raynham, and Lynne Sheehan of Taunton; her paternal grandmother, Eugenia Bowen of Taunton; many nieces and nephews; and several aunts and uncles.
She was also the sister of the late Corinne Coleman.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday July 6th at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
