In Taunton, June 30, 2012 Francis Terra Sylvia Sr. , age 84 passed away in Golden Living Wedgemere following a lengthy illness. Francis was the husband of the late Ida (Correia) Sylvia. Francis was born in Dighton to his late parents Joseph & Jennie (Correia) Sylvia. Francis was educated in Taunton schools. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing cards. Francis leaves his son Francis T. Sylvia Jr. of Taunton. His grandchild Joseph Sylvia and his companion Carlie Medas of Taunton and great grandchildren Bryce and Brett Sylvia. Francis also was the brother of the late Joseph, Raymond and William Sylvia and Dorothy Boudreau. A funeral home service will be held on Thursday, July 5th at 7pm. in the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours prior to the service from 4-7pm. Burial will be private at the request of the family. Relatives and friends are invited to a reception at the Italian Club on 46 Wales St. in Taunton immediately following his funeral service at 7:30pm.
