Anibett Martinez, 32, of Lydia Ave., Woonsocket, died suddenly Friday evening at Putnam Hospital in Carmel, New York. She was the wife of Jorge L. Martinez. There were married on June 28, 1997.
Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of Anibal Rivera and Martha (Ortiz) Rivera. She was raised and educated in Puerto Rico and resided in Woonsocket for the past 15 years.
Anibett was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Landmark Medical Center for the past 8 years.
Anibett will be remembered as a loving wife and mother. She was a hard working person when she set her mind to a goal. Her smile lit up a room and her kindness, sense of humor and joy of life endeared her to all those she knew.
Her favorite times were those spent with her family at home grilling and having fun in the pool.
In addition to her husband of 15 years, she is survived by her daughters Lyanett and Nailea and son Isaiah Martinez, all at home, her sister and brother, with whom she was especially close, Jeniffer and Luis Hernandez, both of Woonsocket, and well as her siblings and extended family throughout the Untied States and Puerto Rico.
Visiting hours for Anibett will be Thursday from 1-4 & 6-9 pm. in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Burial will be private.
