LEICESTER: Mary T. (Lanagan) Sielis, 84, of 1075 Main Street died Saturday, June 30 in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.
Her husband William Sielis, Jr. died in 2000. She leaves two sons Peter M. Sielis and his wife Jane of Spencer and Donald W. Sielis of Leicester, a brother John Lanagan of Bradenton, Fl, a sister Barbara Whitman of West Boylston, four grandchildren Jennifer, Kim, Michael and Chrystal, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sielis was born in Spencer, daughter of Lawrence J. and Mary L. (Hiney) Lanagan. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Leicester Seniors. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and crafts. The family would like to thank Summit Eldercare for all their compassion and support.
The funeral will be Thursday, July 5 from the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester, with a Mass at 12 noon in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. A calling period will be from 10:00 to 11:30 am prior to the Mass.
