Todd Mason Mittler, 51, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully Monday, June 25, 2012.
He graduated from Jeffersontown High School in 1980 and soon after joined the United States Navy where he proudly served. In the Navy, he entered into an electrical apprenticeship. He later returned to school to graduate from Volunteer State. He was a union electrician and a proud member of IBEW for nearly 30 years. He loved to travel, often accepting work in other cities and states on the spur of the moment. He was a lifelong season ticket holder of UK football and an avid reader, often reading two or three books at a time. Todd was a huge sports fan and loved to play golf.
He is survived by his parents, Walter "Jack" and Betty Mittler of Louisville, KY; siblings, Jackie (Chuck) Smith of Lexington, KY; Sharon (Bruce) Wessel of Louisville, KY; Scott (Missy) Mittler of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Casey (Kelly) Mittler of Louisville, KY; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews of which he adored.
Visitation will be 3-8pm Sunday and after 9am Monday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. His funeral service will be 11am Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
