EAST BROOKFIELD;Gerard R. Choquette 85 formerly of 381 E. Main St., died Monday, May 2 at Clark Manor Nursing Home in Worcester.
He was the husband of Roberta E. (Beddie) Choquette who died in 1990. He leaves four sons Raymond G. Choquette of E.Brookfield, Rosaire E. Choquette of Spencer, David L. Choquette of Warren and Donald Choquette of Ware, four brothers Roland Choquette of Eaton Park, Fl., Marcel Choquette of Perine, Fl., Maurice Choquette of Morrisville, N.Y., and John Choquette of Hollywood, Fl., four sisters Clairette Lefort of Quebec, Can., Irene Pelletier of Lancaster, N.H., Lucille Guillette of Derby, Vt., and Theresa Paquette of Springfield, 16 grand, 20 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Choquette was a maintenance man at Brookfield Orchards for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed gardening and his longtime employment at the orchard.Born in Canada, he was the son of Ernest and Delphine (Derosiers) Choquette and lived in Warren, Brookfield and Eaton Park, Fl. before moving to E.Brookfield in 1999.
The funeral will be held Thursday May 6 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 60 Maple St.,Spencer. Burial will be in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer.
