Obituary

TEWKSBURY: John H. Regan, age 72, died Sunday, May 2, 2004 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.

He was the husband of Jean P. (Boyd) Regan to whom he was married for 49 years.

Born in Boston on October 20, 1931, he was the son of the late Martin and Mary (Scanlon) Regan.

Mr. Regan attended parochial grammar schools in West Roxbury. He was graduated from St. John’s Preparatory School of Danvers in 1948.

Following graduation, he attended Providence College in Rhode Island.

Mr. Regan served during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged on April 24, 1954 having been awarded the rank of corporal.

Mr. Regan was employed as an operations manager by the Internal Revenue Service for the past 5 years. He previously worked in the same capacity for Sorenson Trucking Company of Bethany, CT for over 30 years.

Mr. Regan was a member of the Masons Organization in Boston.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 1 son; Martin J. Regan and his wife Denise (Reinbolt) of Wilmington; 1 daughter; Martha J. Regan of Florida; 8 grandchildren; Joshua, Jason, Eric, Nathan, Matthew, Meghan, Melissa and Ryan Regan; 1 sister; Kathleen Brown of Salem, NH.

Calling hours Friday 4-7 p.m. at the FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME, 16 LEE ST., TEWKSBURY. Prayers will be offered at 5:30 p.m. by Rev. Peggy Howell, Rector of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Billerica. Cremation at Linwood Crematory, Haverhill. Please Omit Flowers. Memorial contributions to the Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854 would be appreciated.
