Sharon A. (Strem) Doucette
of Boston, raised in Tewksbury
TEWKSBURY: Sharon A. (Strem) Doucette, age 54, a former longtime resident of Tewksbury, passed away from End Stage Liver Disease, Thursday evening, June 21, 2012, at the Boston Medical Center.
Born in Lowell on November 11, 1957, she was the daughter of John W. Strem of Tewksbury and the late Jacqueline D. (Sheehan) Strem.
Sharon was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1975.
She attended Eleanor Roberts School for Electrology and Skin Care and went on to teach there. She also attended the Blaine School in Lowell.
Sharon was employed as a licensed Electrologist and had owned and operated her own business in Tewksbury and Reading for many years. In addition, she worked at salons in the Greater Lowell area as well as on Newbury Street in Boston.
Sharon enjoyed a passion for sewing and designed many beautiful wedding gowns and created many costumes which she had won first place for.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, and was loved by many for her generosity, thoughtfulness and giving ways.
In addition to her father, Sharon is survived by three brothers, John W. Strem, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, Joseph W. Strem of Tewksbury, and Daniel E. Strem and his wife Lynn of Edgartown; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Sharon was the sister of the late Wayne F. Strem, who passed away on December 15, 2005.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Visitation on Thursday, June 28, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. A Memorial Graveside service will be held Friday, June 29, at 10 a.m. at the Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East St., Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made payable to Lowell House Inc., Glenice Sheehan House, and mailed to P.O. Box 838, Tewksbury, MA 01876.
