Joseph E. St. Germain, 76, of Mill St., Woonsocket, died Thursday at Woonsocket Health Center.
Born in Blackstone, he was a son of the late Emile St. Germain and Blanche Ida (Bertrand) St. Germain. He was raised in Blackstone and lived much of his adult life in Woonsocket.
Mr. St. Germain served in the Unite States Air Force for over 21 years. His Air Force career saw him stationed in many places throughout the world including England, Korea, Vietnam, Japan and various postings in the United States.
Following his service Mr. St. Germain returned to the Woonsocket area. He was employed at several local businesses and worked at ACS Industries for many years before his retirement.
Mr. St. Germain was a member of the American Legion Post 62 and the Disabled American Veterans.
Joe was a supporter of several animal rescue leagues and humane societies.
He is survived by two sons Richard M. St. Germain of Indiana and Russell St. Germain of Woonsocket, two daughters Sheryl Daignault of Woonsocket and Jacqueline Coyne of Tennessee. He was predeceased by all of his siblings. He is also survived by his grandchildren Heather Villar, Bryan and Timothy Allison, Amy Lais, Jake and Paige St. Germain, and his great-grandchildren Ashley True, David Villar and Evan Lais.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held Friday at 1:15 pm in Precious Blood Cemetery, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
