Spurrell, John C. “Bing”, 78 of Derry, NH, formerly Somerville, MA died peacefully June 22, 2012 at the age of 78. John was a son of the late John and Mary Spurrell of Somerville. Proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. John was a retired employee of Flanagan’s Supermarket, S. Boston, MA. Loving father of John Spurrell and his wife Barbara of West Brookfield, MA, Stephen Spurrell and his wife Nancy of Derry, NH, Robert Spurrell and his wife Brenda of Salem, NH, MaryLou DeLacy and her husband Richard of Derry, NH. Also survived by 10 loving grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Paul Spurrell, Charles “Chick” Spurrell, Robert Spurrell, and Bernadine Ring, all of Somerville.
Calling hours were held on Monday June 25th from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A Liturgy of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Avenue, Derry. The burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
