Kathleen M. Carlino, age 47, of Medford formerly of Boston's North End, passed away unexpectedly on June 20th. Born in Winchester she was the cherished daughter of Claire (Donovan) of Medford and the late David J. Rooney. She was the wife of Michael Carlino of the North End.
Kathleen was raised and educated in Medford and was a member of the Medford High School graduating class of 1983. She worked as a waitress for over twenty years with several Boston Restaurants. Kathleen enjoyed spending time by the ocean and was a veracious reader. She also enjoyed watching scary movies and loved animals. However her greatest joy came from her family and she especially loved to be with her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her mother and husband, Kathleen is survived by her beloved sister, Deborah Neary and her husband James of Everett, brothers, David Rooney of Medford, Kevin Rooney and his wife Erin of Boston. She was the loving aunt of Patrick, Ashleigh, Katherine, Abigail, and Bridgette Neary, Brendan Rooney and Angela Carlino. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday, June 26th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has bee requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
