Cherry Valley—Jackson V. Carlstrom, 64, of 80 Brown Street, Cherry Valley, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, in Saint Vincent Hospital.
He leaves his wife Evangelina (Flores)Carlstrom, a son, Stacey Carlstrom of Cherry Valley, 2 daughters, Suzanne E. Fenneuffand Shannon Kirkland both of Brookfield; 2 sisters, Jean Bratt of Princeton and Sharon Lynch of Worcester; 9 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Jackson was born in Worcester, son of Malcolm and Katherine (Palm) Carlstrom. He was a graduate of South High School. Jackson served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 - 1964. He was a grinding operator for Norton Co. for 29 years, retiring in 1994. He was a life-time member of American Legion Post 443 Cherry Valley where he was also caretaker. He was a member of the Norton 25-year Club and an avid sports fan.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 8, from 2-5 p.m. at American Legion Post 443, 167 Main Street, Cherry Valley. Burial will be private. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
