Marion Thorpe Baldaia, 94, of Westport, Massachusetts and Riverside, Rhode Island passed from this earthly life on June 16, 2012. She was born in Westport on July 26, 1917 to the late Annie (Donald) and Leroy Pettey.
She leaves 6 children: John Thorpe of Vernon, Conn., Marilyn James of Dover, Delaware, Robert Thorpe of South Windsor, Conn., Judith Viens of Newington, Conn., Nancy Mathieu of Westport, Mass. and Evelyn Davis of Inverness, Florida along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Marion will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her good naturedness, her thriftiness and her remarkable enjoyment and appreciation of the little things in life.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In memory of Marion, memorial contributions may be made to Elmhurst Extended Care, Cedar Winds Program, Development Office, 50 Maude Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02908-9942.
