Obituary

Florence G. (Parker) (Nolan) Cooper, 74, of Danvers, formerly of Lynn, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was the wife of the late Raymond Cooper.

Born in Peabody on June 22, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Florence (Mathieson) Parker. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School and the Essex Agricultural Institute.

For many years, Florence was employed as a clerk at the Salem Maritime Historic Site.

Active for many years at the Peabody Senior Center, she enjoyed building model ships. She loved the history of New England and spending time at Winter Island. She was a dedicated and loving grandmother.

She is survived by three sons, Scot Nolan and his wife Doreen of Danvers, Ronald Nolan and his wife Elaine of Farmington, NH, and Patrick Nolan and his wife Donna of Lynn, her loyal friend and companion, Doug Sabin of Salem, a sister, Barbara Secker, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Nolan Kennedy, and two brothers, Robert and Ronald Parker.

Her Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 9AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Friday from 5-8PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
