Obituary


STANLEY C. MAGNER, a lifelong resident of Hingham, passed away on Thursday, June 7th, 2012 at the Harbor House Nursing Center in Hingham after a long illness. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and for over 30 years was a lineman for the Hingham Municipal Lighting Plant, retiring in 1987. Stan was a member of the Weymouth Eagles, the Weymouth Elks, the American Legion and was a life member of the Marshfield Rod & Gun Club. For many years he was also a starter and ranger for the South Shore Country Club in Hingham.

Stan leaves his wife of 57 years Paula (Biagi) Magner of Hingham; and was the father of Diane King of Hingham, Stanley Magner of Rochester, MA, Phyllis Tedeschi of Norwell and Brian Magner and his wife Maureen of Norwell. Also survived by his brother William Magner of California, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Stan's Life at the South Shore Country Club, 274 South St., Hingham on Thursday, June 21st from 5-8 PM.
