Alice C. (Coz) Sabaitis, of Brockton, died Friday June 15, 2012 in her 90th year at Kindred Hospital. She was the wife for 55 years of the late Albert P. Sabaitis. Lifelong of Brockton, Alice was the daughter of the late Leonard G. and Alice (Boyd) Coz. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and Williams Business School. An avid reader and longtime member of the Brockton Public Library Foundation, she also enjoyed discussing current events and politics, opera, jazz and the blues. She was a lifetime member of St. Edward/St. Edith Stein Parish as well as a longtime volunteer at St. Edward School.
Alice is survived by her daughter Judge Catherine P. Sabaitis, First Justice of Plymouth County Probate and Family Court and her husband Angus MacPherson; a brother Henry W. Coz of Grafton and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alfred L. and Edward G. “Pat” Coz.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 5-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 10am for a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein Parish at 11am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Brockton Public Library Foundation, Inc., PO Box 202, Brockton, MA 02303.
