DUDLEY – Madeleine M. “Madge” (Chabot) Duff, 61, of 9 Camelot Circle, died Saturday, May 1, at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous ten year battle with breast cancer.
She leaves her husband of 43 years, Ronald R. Duff, Sr.; a son, Ronald R. Duff, Jr., and his wife Lorraine T. Duff, both of Shrewsbury; a brother, Richard P. Chabot of North Brookfield; 4 sisters, Phyllis A. Plante of Webster, Diane G. Blinn of Dudley, Gloria R. Lamb of Thompson, CT, and Susan A. Conti of Dudley; 2 grandchildren, Christopher D. and Elyse C. Duff, nieces and nephews.
She was born in Webster, a daughter of late Roger N. and Mary C. (Stefaniak) Chabot. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1960.
Mrs. Duff was the office manager of Chabot Oil Co. in Webster until 1978. Then, she was the assistant manager of Putnam Card and Gift Shop until 1994. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Webster. She enjoyed the ocean, the outdoors, and especially her family and friends.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 5, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, Webster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street, Webster. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday, May 4, in the funeral home.
